A friend’s thinking of having a dress up party for her 18th. With Barbie as the theme, and as of now I’ve only really come up with one idea, albeit with a major flaw…
Rollerblading Barbie
The flaw? Ok, well, me, Mr. Smirnoff and wheels are just not going to mix, I can see that, but it could be fun (and somewhat amusing even).
Hrm. Maybe Bedtime Barbie, that’d work… maybe. Does anyone else have any ideas?
God I hate Barbie… The littlest sister cut off the lovely blonde locks on not one, but ALL of my barbies… It’s been 10 years, and yes, I’m still traumatised. :D

Mmm, yeah. Stay away from “Rollerblades” and “Mr.Smirnoff”. That’s a accident walking to happen.
Bedtime Barbie was a good one, but what to wear with that?
What about drunk barbie? Or disco barbie? They’re horrorible ideas, but amusing either way.

Hawaiian Barbie? Growing up in the 80s I didn’t have the Hawaiian Barbie doll, I had her exotic black-haired friend Miko. I vaguely remember the bathing suit being dark (black, purple, blue, green?) and that the ’skirt’ was really just a large flower that enveloped the doll’s waist.
The only doll that suffered the injustice of hair styling was my younger sister’s Kim doll (one of the Misfits from Jem). Maybe you could go as one of the Misfits or one Jem’s pals…
