XAMPP is cool, and by far the easiest way I’ve come accross to run PHP, MySQL, apache, etc. on my computer. I like it better than phpdev, which is what I’ve used in the past.

I have installed Apache, PHP (with lots of extensions) and MySQL separately on my machine instead of using a prebuilt version. It’s great for testing out scripts and playing about with PHP.
On another note, my web address has changed again :P Please update your links ;)

partition. linux.
isn’t this “Copy the code pictured in the above box.” business a tad extreme?

i’ll get around to partitioning one day, when i get a bigger hard drive. :)
as for the box thingy,i know it’s annoying, but so are hundreds of daily spam comments. :P

I have not only installed Apache, PHP and MySQL separately, but I actually compiled them myself. There’s absolutely no reason to do so, and hopefully nobody else wastes time like that when there are better things to do. For example clearing out all the beerbottles from the last party (not an entirely rhetoric example).
