Kristof keeps showing off his cool gadgets, which just happen to be the things that I’m coveting at the moment. It’s sooooo making me want to frivously spend money. I want a pretty shiny Wacom graphics tablet and I also want a GPS! If I remember rightly he was also saying something about acquiring some shiny LCD’s! Man! So jealous right now.

I’m really really craving new toys to play with, however the boy & I are stuck with budgetising as we just got rid of our flatmates (long story!) and have to pay full rent again!

Le sigh! If only being a super dooper geek and paying the rent wasn’t so costly! Then again, I have no idea what I spend my money on each fortnight, I swear it just disapears! I should really write it all down and try to eliminate some of the stupid things (pizza/booze/lollies/art supplies/nandos etc.) that I know I waste my earnings away on each fortnight! ;)

For goodness sake. I gave you a copy of TomTom (I’ll send the DVDs back to you if you need them again), and you have a teh awesome phone, and a GPS receiver is less than a hundred bucks. Now surely 100 bucks would be within your budget given a week or two? Or at least not too long?

maybe teh cool phone is being a retarded twat already, and am now using a cheap prepaid whilst I debate whether i want to walk the two blocks to nokia… :P i’m so classy/lazy, I know!

I have a Wacom tablet at the office, and I didn’t end up enjoying it as much as I thought I would.

Don’t underestimate the power of the WaCom: Not as clumsy or random like a mouse- a more civilised weapon, for a more civilised age! :D

I too voucheth for the WaCom. Between the fact that it can be used to draw a line with a relatively smooth gradient & varying thickness in one swift stroke in my beloved Gimp, it can also be used to play Counter strike with. In relative mode (i.e., like a mouse), it plays as adequately as a mouse (mostly), but for real fun one must try absolute mode (top corner of the pad is top corner of the desktop), which makes playing the game kinda like trying to balance a broom on your nose as any deviation from the exact centre of the pad results in the character going into a drunk spin on whatever axis is affected by the offset. Hours of fun, without the usual costs incurred by needing much alcohol consumption. So really, a WaCom saves me money by stopping me from needing to be drunk to act like a twit…
