I felt older back then, more disciplined.

It’s the time of year when I retreat into the text books and attempt to learn a semesters worth of work for my chem and bio subjects in just over three weeks. Oh, and write an essay or two for the non-examination based subjects.

Nadine’s university list of what’s coming up and when:

18th October - Final Essay due for Ecological History of Humankind. - Done!
26th October - Final Test for Ecological History of Humankind.
6th November - Final Essay due for Contemporary Culture & Everyday Life.
7th November - Biology Exam.
8th November - Chemistry Exam.

Wish me luck. :)

The student union at Uni often get some really cool bands in to play at lunch time events. Today I spent the start of my lunch break out on the lawns at uni listening to The Whitlams. I love the Whitlams! Anyway, then it started to rain. So now I’ve migrated to a computer lab in a vain attempt to get some work done, and behold… they’re so loud that I can still here them up here on the forth floor of a building over 300m away. I’m quite content right now. This so beats listening to my iPod anyday. :D

Okay, so mid-sem break is over, and I’m back at uni and I am as bored as ever. I tried doing some chemistry before (I should probably do a lot more considering the exam is worth 70% of my final mark and I haven’t been to any lectures in a while…) however within 30 minutes I had a headache and could’t think. I really need to get into a study/uni routine of some sort!

Hrm. Dilema… Is it wrong I’m using in-text referencing instead of footnotes in this essay I’m writing just to make the word count appear longer.? I’m so bored… There is only so much one can write about how Europeans believed the planet configuration (amongst other things) was the cause of the Black Death. I’m nowhere near 1500 words yet!

Why can’t we overcome this wall?

I’m sitting in a computer lab at uni procrastinating again. I have a two-hour break in between classes today… I was planning to make a start on some readings; maybe even start researching for an essay or two I have due in a few weeks… yeah, I know, idealistic, but I was considering it, which is the important part… but I really can’t concentrate! I’m in a noisy computer lab and playing on a very pretty iMac, which I’d very much like to take home with me… not to mention there are really loud anti war protesters rallying in the courtyard four floors below. All I can hear is this really annoying woman with an equally annoying voice screaming into her megaphone.

My head hurts and I’m craving a strawberry and yogurt smoothie. WHY IS THERE NO DECENT JUICE BAR on campus? :(

Apple replaced my iPod. I have a brand new pretty shiny one. :D I missed having music so much whilst it wasn’t working, the train trip into uni each day has been so boring… I should buy plastic stuff to put over it so it doesn’t get scratched but I really can’t be bothered. It’s taking forever to put all my music back onto it. Anyway, talking of scratched, my phone is like majorly scuffed from flying around the floor and under the feet of examiners today. (We’re made to put our phones under the desk on the floor during our exams). Meh. I’m so sad. I was making an effort to keep it in sellable condition. :( Ahwell, in happy happy news, I’m done with exams for the semester, my Chemistry one this morning was my last one. Here’s to hoping I passed them. :P

And you’re so much like me, I’m sorry.

I spent most of my biology exam this morning gawking at the incredibley pretty building the exam was actually held in. It’s horrible… I’m so easily amused (aka: distracted). :p
