Damn they don’t make ‘em like this anymore.

My laptop is falling apart. Literally. She’s been a great computer, I’ve put her through absolute hell. She’s swam in coke, swam in water, and has been thrown around more times than I care to mention. However… I think I’m going to have to get a new one sooner rather than later.

  • The screen is starting to get lines down it in random places.
  • The hinges are wobbly, meaning I’m far too scared to close her on the off chance I’d never be able to get her open again.
  • She’s missing keys, including the right arrow, which makes playing Tetris a total pain in the ass.
  • The USB ports are playing up. It’ll read my flash drive for 10 seconds, then stop again, then start again, then stop again and then start again. I can’t even use my graphics tablet.

Poor Adele. (A Dell, get it? And no, I didn’t name her; she was inherited from my mother when my previous laptop was stolen.)

How to amuse/annoy Nadine first thing on a Wednesday morning:

Find every single demo mobile/cell phone you can. The store Nadine works in has A LOT of demo phones. So it’s not exactly hard. Set the alarms at varying intervals from 8.43 am to 9.33 am. Make sure you set at least two alarms on each phone. Just to confuse Nadine even more. And be sure to hide a few of them in the bottom of boxes, so Nadine has to dig around for them before she can turn them off…

I could have killed the boys this morning! For the first 10 minutes I had no idea as to what was going on…. No wonder it takes me forever to get anything done. ;)

I was planning to write something on here every day this year… but I’ve already gone and stuffed that one up! A whole new year = a whole new 365 days of laziness. ;)

Adam and I spent Christmas in Mildura with our families, where we ate far too much food. We then headed to Adelaide to hang out with Jemma, Dylan and Jess for New Years, where we drank a lot and played far too much Guitar Hero.

I hope everyone really enjoyed the silly season as much as I did and didn’t get themselves into too much trouble. :) Thank you for all your Christmas/New Years txt messages. They made me smile!
